About Me
The strategies I use in therapy are grounded in research and guided by experience.
My approach is shaped by my background conducting research at Stanford University and over a decade of clinical practice. I draw from evidence-based modalities to create a personalized experience that supports your unique needs and goals.
The skills you’ll learn have helped hundreds of my patients create positive changes by:
Thinking more objectively
Coping with painful emotions more effectively
Connecting with others more easily
Prioritizing their values and goals more consistently
Letting go of problems outside of their control more quickly
Why did I become a psychologist?
Growing up, I often heard, “You’re too sensitive.” Like many, I didn’t know how to handle difficult emotions. I thought the only way was to keep my head down and push through it. I believed hard work could outrun anxiety and self-doubt, but eventually I realized that strength isn’t about perfection; it’s about learning how to care for yourself when things are hard.
Over time I learned to meet emotions like sadness and anxiety with objectivity and compassion. That shift helped me make choices that were aligned with my values, not just social and cultural expectations.
Now I help others do the same: understand their emotions, balance ambition with self-compassion, and build lives that feel more whole.
