Therapy for Building Better Boundaries in All Your Relationships

Dr. Jenine Saekow

I provide online therapy for adults in CA, CO, NY.

You deserve relationships where you feel respected, seen, and supported. Therapy can help you get there.

Our relationships shape so much of how we feel, from our sense of self-worth to how safe we feel in the world. Whether you’re navigating conflict with a family member or significant other, people-pleasing with friends, or difficulty setting boundaries at work, therapy offers a space to untangle those patterns with care and clarity. I use evidence-based approaches to help you:

  • Experience less guilt when saying “no”

  • Cope with breakups and changes in the relationship

  • Prevent resentment at others and emotional overload

  • Communicate your needs clearly and respectfully

  • Strengthen self-respect and self-worth

  • Cultivate relationships that feel mutual and supportive

Struggling with family, signification others, coworkers, or friends? Book a call and get the support you need.

Kind Words from Past Patients

“Dr. Saekow is incredibly compassionate and understanding, and she is able to provide different perspectives to help me think through issues. She was always very encouraging, yet demonstrated great empathy in helping me reframe some of the very emotional issues I was working through.”

-Tech Professional, 30s

“She gave me really specific techniques to immediately address the issues I was facing. She was extremely caring while still being honest so I felt so supported throughout the whole process. She really took the time to understand me but it felt like she knew me right away.”

-Asian American female, 20s

“I was given the tools to help me from spiraling out of control. It made me wish I'd been more proactive in seeking out therapy earlier...because who knows how much more different/better my life could've been.”

-Tech Professional, 30s

Therapy with me is a mix of these evidence based techniques:

  • Helps you identify and change unhelpful thoughts to improve how you feel and respond to challenges.

  • Focuses on building skills to manage intense emotions, improve communication with others, and tolerate distress.

  • Encourages you to accept difficult emotions in situations you cannot change while committing to actions that align with your values.

  • Teaches you to stay present, reduce reactivity, and respond to stress with greater calm and clarity.

About Me

I truly love what I do. I have been providing therapy since 2011, though my work feels like a natural extension of who I am. I’ve known since I was young that I wanted to be a psychologist. I’ve always been the listener in my friend groups and felt emotions deeply. I feel grateful to sit with people during some of their most honest and vulnerable moments.

I’m a San Diegan native, and I’ve loved living in New York City, Palo Alto, and Charlotte. Outside of therapy, I love traveling with friends and family, baking something sweet, and I’m already planning next year’s Super Bowl party.
